Teaching Methods
The curricular unit will have an essentially practical orientation, so that students can explore and learn to apply the diagnostic and registry tools. Accordingly, strategies for simulation, analysis of projects and audiovisual recordings, as well as access to real contexts (in conjunction with Stage I for example) and the construction of instruments for registration are teachinglearning strategies to explore. It will be explored in parallel, by the teacher, the great debates and concepts associated with the territorial approach and its political and economic connections.
Learning Outcomes
The value of the territory, as a geographic and experiential space, and the capitalizing of strengths and resources of individuals and communities emerge, currently, in socio-political discourses, as the alchemical principle capable of reversing the social implosion. Under this assumption it is intended, in the optional curricular unit Territorial Diagnostic Procedures to understand the relevance of the territory as a space for innovation and development, through the analysis of current experiments, and to identify and apply knowledge of diagnostic procedures and participatory dynamics in an integrated and bottom-up approach.
Understanding the relationship between local and global knowledge and the effective use of diagnostic tools constitutes itself as the central axes of the c. unit which aims to complement the training received in Social and Community Development
