Teaching Methods

The achievement of the objectives and competencies of the curricular units requires the coherent combination of expository teaching methods and classes focused on the analysis and debate on selected texts and intervention /community development projects.

Learning Outcomes

The curricular unit of SCD aims to prepare students for identifying and capitalizing on the territorial strengths and resources in a point of view of social development. Thus the curricular unit has as general objectives to: contribute to the development of analytical skills and application / adaptation of concepts and methods of intervention to new societal frameworks; Position critically different conceptions and dimensions of Development; Explain and discuss the areas of intervention and the theoretical-methodological frames, of innovative nature, within the local social action; Identify and understand the assumptions and operating strategic principles of collective action oriented for change; know and apply territorial diagnostic procedures.
