Teaching Methods

The curricular unit will seek to articulate more expository teaching methods with concrete knowledge of the social economy initiatives, including promoting the participation of professionals or experts within the classroom and making visits to social economy organizations or projects.

Learning Outcomes

The curricular unit intends to introduce and clarify the semantic universe of the social economy and its boundaries, as well as understand its role as agent of development and of promoting processes of social inclusion and participation in contemporary societies. Thus, it is intended to provide students with conceptual and operational knowledge about social and solidarity economy, about the role of the 3rd sector as a partner/ prosecutor agent of social and economic innovation, as well as the different efforts in course in this universe and its capabilities and limits in contemporary societies.
