Teaching Methods

The unit has a theoretical and practice dimension and covers different methods of teaching and learning, including:

• Sessions of the theoretical exposition,

• The analysis of texts and

• Seminar - this type of education focuses on the construction of spaces and times of presentation and discussion of curriculum subjects from the presentation of exploration work theory and practice by the students.

Learning Outcomes

Main goals: To promote understanding of the conceptual complexity of social work, through an analytical approach to the relationship between theory and practice in everyday work; Transmit knowledge about the paradigms underlying the current interventional procedures; Facilitating the acquisition and development of skills on the relationship between operational and theoretical knowledge and values about the relevance of context in building initiatives enhancer of social change and about the new approaches of social work in contemporary world, integrating innovative and strategic dimension of social intervention.

Competencies: Understand the nature of knowledge and analytical attributes of contemporary social work; Enhance a critical reading of the axes that regulate contemporary social work; Identify the guiding paradigms of innovative work practices; put themselves critically towards ethical and strategic dimensions of social intervention.
