Learning Outcomes
The Final Work of Master's, taking the form of Dissertation, Project Report of Social Intervention or Monograph Internship, constitutes itself as the essential element for obtaining a Master's Degree in Social Work, upon completion, with positive results the Specialization Course of the Master.
In either type of final work is intended that the master student acquire and develop:
- cultural-cognitive skills (reasoning capabilities; logical and mathematical reasoning, interpretation and analysis)
- practical-instrumental skills (problem-solving skills and decision making, using professional techniques, contextual analysis and initiative)
- interpersonal skills (relational capacities, communication, understanding and affirmation of the sense of citizenship and axiological analysis)
- research skills (ability to build a research object from the observation; collection and interpretation of data; conclusions, and their social, political, economic, cultural and axiological implications).

In the Master's Final Work the student may choose to perform a Scientific Research – Dissertation, an Intervention Project or an Internship with practical and research (Monograph). Either option entails the preparation of a written and oral defense before a jury for that purpose:
a) Research Work: the topic to research should be chosen among the research areas proposed by the respective advisors and with the approval of a research project.
b) Stage: the topic of research should be chosen according to the social and institutional framework reality of the trainee and with the approval of the research project by the scientific supervisor.
c) Social Intervention Project: a proposal for intervention, consistent, innovative and practical, grounded by empirical research, in response to a particular problem or social phenomenon.
The three options are ruled by specific Norms created for this purpose.
