Knowledge and skills mentioned on the several curricular units of the four previous semesters.

Teaching Methods

Seminar (in which issues / problems are analysed).

Referring to the topic / issue of each in-person session, its structure is as follows:

-Presentation of contents.

-Supported analysis of documents (in various media),

- Carrying out individual and/or small group tasks.

- Extended group discussion

- Preparation of summaries

- Autonomous work by students (for consolidation and deepening knowledge)

-Preparation and/or continuation of the work of in-person sessions

-Follow-up tutorial (for diverse learning support)

-Support to the study, for preparation and development of tasks.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this unit students should:

-Aquire/update/revise and understand knowledge in one of the domains of the UOI options (educational psychology, special education; training of trainers and teachers; educational administration and management of education and training; Social education; adult education and vocational training; communication technologies and distance education).

-Recognize and understand identity aspects of education professions.

-Reflect, based on knowledge, on ethical and deontological framework education professions.

-Analyze problematic situations from the point of view of identity and professional ethics.

-Contact with institutions and analyze, based on knowledge, education professional practices.

-Collaborate with institutions and professionals elected as subjects of observation and intervention in the areas common to UOI I and II.

-Develop clarified proposals of professional interventions.

-Draw up an activity report.

A. Contents of the seminar:

1. professional Identity

-Singularities of education professions

- Meaning of professional performance in education

-Institutional framework of professional performance in education

2. Professional ethics of education professions

-professional action values

-duties and rights of professionals of education

-documents regulating thought and professional action

3. Ethical thinking and action of the education professionals

- ethical considerations that mark the contemporary education

-ethical decisions in concrete educational situations
