Teaching Methods
The course covers different thematic areas and resorts to dynamic strategies and methods based on constant interaction aiming to deepen the study of the structures of the language.
Learning Outcomes
To learn the vocabulary and grammar structures needed to communicate with fluency and spontaneity with native speakers producing clear and detailed speech on a wide range of subjects and explaining viewpoints clearly.

Verbs: Review of the tenses already learned and presentation of new tenses (compound tenses of the Indicative; Present, and Future Imperfect of the Subjunctive; simple and compound Gerund; verbal periphrases with Infinitive and Gerund.
Nouns and adjectives: review of complex cases.
Pronouns: review of pronouns already learned; personal pronouns (mesoclisis, contraction).
Quantifiers: review of qualifiers; introduction of AMBO/A/S; POUCO/A/S +DE; NUMERAL+DE
Prepositions and prepositional sentences: consolidating skills.
Sentence structure: the structure of the simple sentence; agreement (complex subject / verb); the structure of the complex sentence and connectors:
Coordinating and subordinating conjunctions and phrases
Direct and indirect speech
Sociolinguistic and textual pragmatic aspects: Forms of address in Portugal; use of polite formulas.
Mechanisms of textual cohesion.
