2. To recognize and critically analyze the role of adult education and training in the international and Portuguese contexts.

3. To understand the roles of the adult educator/trainer under humanistic and emancipatory education in formal, non-formal, informal and community-based contexts.

4. To know the main characteristics of adults as learners/trainees.

5. To identify the main principles of adult learning in the context of lifelong and lifewide education.

6. To recognize and discuss the specificity of educational/training activities with adults in formal, non-formal, informal and community-based contexts.
