Recommended Prerequisites
Knowledge acquired in the curricular units (from the 1st semester) such as Introduction to Educational Sciences, Sociology of Education, Psychology of Education will be useful.
Teaching Methods
Active and participatory methodologies with oral presentations supported by texts and audio-visual resources. Group work on oral presentations and promotion of debates by students (presentations for youth projects under analysis) and invited experts (Open Classes Social Education). Tutorial.
Learning Outcomes
In this course it is expected that students :
- Relate the concepts of Social Pedagogy, Social Education and Socio-educational intervention
- Recognize the educational dimension of the social contexts, and in addition, the social dimension of education.
- Meet the agents , participants, scopes, themes and modalities of socio-educational intervention
- Understand the historical and conceptual processes, and also pedagogical , psychological and sociological assumptions that underlie the processes of socio-educational intervention
- Identify the factors of vulnerability, risk , conflict, marginalization , exclusion and discrimination that hinder the socialization and social inclusion of individuals and collectives.
- Know socio-educational intervention projects and programs for public with or without social conflict
- Analyse a socio-educational intervention project based on planning and evaluation models of social and educational projects
