Learning Outcomes
This course has been developed to provide students with an awareness of the methodology of dealing with waste management, clean technology and recycling. A major objective of the course is also to emphasize the importance of materials selection and materials design with regard to recycling.

3. The processing of fragmentized metal wastes. Shredders. Non-magnetic processing. Other processes.
4. The processing of granulated metal wastes. Waste tyre processing. Battery processing. Thermally assisted processing.
5. The processing of urban waste.
6.Treatment of industrial wastewaters for recovery of process water, raw materials and by-products.
7. Biorefinery in pulp & paper and agro-food industries.
