Teaching Methods

Theoretical and practical classes. Grammar exercises. Listening exercises . Conversation and reading on specific themes . Discussion of the main socio-cultural events of the studied periods.

Learning Outcomes

The course is intended for students wishing to  speak and write in Russian in specific situational conditions corresponding to A1.1 level , as it is defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).  It is intended to provide students to become familiar with writing, pronunciation, basic grammar and basic vocabulary. We also intend to promote drilling in predictable communicative situations, corresponding to students pragmatic interests. At the same time, will also be presented a summary of the most significant events in the Russian socio-cultural space, throughout its history, in its main artistic forms.

. Competences to be developed by students: Provide students with basic knowledge of Russian language and culture and prepare them for further learning in a subsequent independent work or in a course of subsequent level.

Essentials notions grammar (continuation)

Basic vocabulary and their combinatorial possibilities.

Writing and speaking exercises.

Topics of conversation:

- Spoken courtesy forms.

- Colors and sizes.

- Some sports.

- The weather seasons and meteorology

- Vacation and Travel.

- Improving the ability to talk about everyday themes at an elementary level.

Current socio-cultural aspects of Russian life: virtual tours of museums and Art Galleries in Russia.

Successefull course completion supposes the realization of all the proposed activities, the evaluation is expressed in a final grade on a scale of 0-20 points. Minimal pass grade is 10 points .
