Teaching Methods
Theoretical and practical classes
We work with the "Opmaat" method, developed at the University of Utrecht.
Culture classes are plenary sessions in which we regularly have guest teachers.
Learning Outcomes
It is intended that students will learn to communicate in everyday situations. Spoken communication will be especially important. Students will learn grammar basic rules and vocabulary. It is intended to achieve the A1-A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference.

• The sentence: the composed sentence and subordinate clause
• The verb: the perfect and imperfect of regular and irregular verbs
• The diminutive noun
• The adjective
Lexical content:
Vocabulary relating to clothing, professional and leisure activities, shopping and contact with official authorities.
Culture:
Aspects of the Netherlands and Flanders culture: geography and politics, traditional events, history and contemporary life, will be addressed.
The language history will also be addressed as well as aspects of the history of Dutch speaking countries.
