Teaching Methods
Teaching methodologies are aimed at developing the student's self confidence in using Italian in a more pro-active manner in specific communicative situations related to day-to-day and compatible with the elementary level.
Learning Outcomes
This course is aimed at students willing to master an elementary Italian level.Trainees will develop skills in comprehension, production and linguistic interaction in Italian consistent with a beginner’s level,corresponding to A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.Listening:understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance and simple short and clear messages.Reading:read very short,simple texts and/or short and simple personal letters.Understanding specific information in current use simple texts.Spoken interaction: communicate in simple routine everyday situations requiring a simple and direct information exchange. To engage on very short social exchanges,even though I can’t understand everything that is said.Spoken production:use of simple phrases and sentences to describe personal situations.Writing:write short simple messages and personal letters on matters of immediate need

The course aims to provide Italian proficiency consistent with an elementary level
PRONUNCIATION AND SPELLING
Emphasis on the contrastive phonetic phenomena.
GRAMMAR:
Nominal inflection, morphological composition;
verbal inflection indicative tenses (passato prossimo, imperfetto, semplice future, imperative); personal pronouns direct and indirect object; simple and articulated prepositions, possessive and indefinite pronouns and adjectives. Simple and complex sentences.
