Teaching Methods

Continuous assessment includes the following criteria:
- Oral participation in the classes
- Homework
- Small assessment tests
The written final exam has a 90 minutes duration, and it is held in the last block of classes.  It will include reading, listening, writing and grammar exercises.

Students can opt to do the official test Zertifikat Deutsch B1, which will be organized in collaboration with the German Institute (Goethe Institut).

Learning Outcomes

German Language and Culture - Level VI aims to teach written and spoken German language both at reception and production level. The course objectives follow the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR) for B1 level .

 

Competences to be developed by students:

 At the end of level B1 of the CEFR, students will have the following language skills:
• Can understand the main points of regularly encountered issues in work, school, leisure, etc..
• Can handle almost all everyday situations in German.
• Can write simple and well organized texts on a well known subject .

• Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans

- The pronominal adverbs dafür, dazu, damit;
- The interrogative pronouns wofür, wozu, womit;
- Adjectives with genitive;
