Learning Outcomes

Our main goal through this PhD course is to provide a good interdisciplinary training to help students in their research careers as scientists in the field of cancer and oncobiology, in particularly in cellular and molecular mechanims involved in cancer, in cancer management and therapeutic approaches and translational clinical oncology research.

Specific Objectives: Acquisition of  knowledge about (1) Cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in cancer (2) Screening, cancer prevention and diagnosis; (3) Conventional anticancer therapies and Paliative Care (4) Cancer drug pharmacology, (5) Biology of Drug Resistance and Response; (6) Hormonal Treatment of Cancer (7); New therapeutic approaches in Cancer (Targeted Therapies); (8) The role of clinical trials in drug development; (9) New approaches in monitoring cancer therapeutic response.
