Tutorial guidance sessions. Sessions in which students present the evolution of their research work to the teachers and classmates. Methodological supervision

Learning Outcomes

Students should choose the subject of the dissertation and prepare the research project. Students should present their research project focusing on one of the proposed themes. This presentation should include the theme, the title, the abstract, the introduction, the research objectives, the methodology to be used as well as the references.

Students should develop the research work, including the phase of data collection and processing.

Preparation of the master's degree dissertation.

Presentation and defence of the accomplished work in a public defence of the dissertation.

In this curricular unit, students are expected to develop skills concerning the scientific research process as well as the written and oral presentation of their work.

Syllabus

Taking into account the objectives of this curricular unit, students are supervised and supported by their supervisor regarding the scientific research process required by the work they are developing.

Themes as study design, data collection techniques, data processing techniques, writing of a scientific text, and oral presentation and communication of the study developed by each student will be approached and developed.

   A bibliografia é definida pelo orientador responsável pelo trabalho de investigação e de acordo com o tema escolhido pelo aluno. Não obstante, aluno é também incentivado a uma procura ativa de bibliografia relevante e atual sobre o tema a desenvolver e sobre os métodos a utilizar. /

 The bibliography is established by the supervisor that is responsible for the research work and in compliance with the theme chosen by the student. Notwithstanding, the student is also encouraged to search actively relevant and up-to-date bibliography concerning the theme to be developed and the methodology to be used.
