Level
2nd Cycle Studies - Mestrado

Recommended Prerequisites

Building Materials / Direction, management and supervision of construction / Foundations / Reinforced concrete.

Teaching Methods

In the lectures the subjects are exposed in detail, using the media, where in addition to the fundamental concepts and theories are presented case studies, illustrated with images and labor-specification. In the theoretical-practical exercises are solved some practical application, with the participation of students. To consolidate the information transmitted, study visits are also included throughout the semester. The evaluation is done through a final exam.

Learning Outcomes

To provide the general knowledge for the construction of large constructions (including technical visits), and knowledge more specific in current constructions, with particular focus on construction of buildings.

Acquiring capabilities in control and coordination of processes and construction techniques, particularly for buildings.

It is also intended that students acquire knowledge in order to promote the safety and health of workers in the construction.

Work Placement(s)
