This course is organized around Conferences held throughout the semester by experts in social economy or in related and contextualizing issues of the topics covered in this Course. It also includes dedicated sessions for the presentation of narratives about lived experiences by protagonists of the social economy.
Learning Outcomes
The purpose of this CU is to put students in touch with the issues of the social economy and related issues and with the experiences that the protagonists of social economy (SE) organisations experience in their daily life
We intend to foster the contact and the deepening of knowledge about the thematic diversity of the problems associated with the SE and related issues and the internal diversity of the sector with regard to the different types and practices of social economy organisations.
The CU aims at stimulating awareness and reflection on the various theoretical debates, challenges and variety of practical experiences of the SE and foster awareness of the variety of organisations, their practices and their internal and external and intra and inter-sectoral relations
The CU also stimulates the competences for intra-and extra-sectoral comunication, the critical analysis of the focused issues, the ability of practical application of knowledge and learning from practical experience

Since there is variation with regard to the topics of conferences and guest speakers these however will fit coherently within the themes and experiences to analyze in this Course in terms of addressing the social economy or related and contextualizing topics.
This cycle also includes lived experiences consisting in the testimony of organizational experiences of the variety of the field of the social economy including cooperatives, mutual societies, associations, foundations, “misericordias” and other social solidarity institutions, cultural associations, sports and recreational associations, local development initiatives, entities the community and self-management sector and other entities that comply with the principles of the social economy, as mentioned in the Framework Law of the Social Economy.
