Exposition of syllabus contents by teacher with multimedia presentations whenever possible and if deemed appropriate and debates with a participation of the students about themes of the syllabus.

Learning Outcomes


Learning objectives
a)Understand the meaning and the impact of concepts such as social innovation and entrepreneurship to the debates and practices of social economy organisations;
b)Reflect on the changes in the welfare state affecting the role of the third sector;
c)Perceive the socio-economic context of the emergency of the local development initiatives and be aware of its diversity;
d)Reflect on the distribution of functions between State and community/third sector/social economy;
e)Analyze some partnerships between them and reflect on its political-legal-institutional and economic-social impacts;
f)Know and discuss the framework of the social economy in the context of the European employment policies.
The student must be capable to:
a)identify, structure and expose topics of the social economy related with the syllabus contents;
b)defend their fundamented opinions about these topics;
c)discuss these topics mobilizing their basic academic skills and professional experience.
