Recommended Prerequisites
The knowledge acquired during the first year of courses of the master program.
Teaching Methods
A project topic and a precise list of bibliographic items will be given, considering the necessary knowledge of the student for the preparation of a future dissertation in Applied Analysis and Computing. The work of the student will consist of reading and studying, under the guidance of the project adviser who can also request computational tasks.
Learning Outcomes
The main goal is preparing and training the knowledge for a future dissertation in Applied Analysis and Computing, under the supervision of a faculty member.
The project course aims at developing the following skills: knowledge of mathematical results; ability to formulate and solve problems; ability to communicate well and clearly, in speaking and writing. On the personal level it also allows to develop self-learning, research and communication skills.

Assessment Methods
Assessment
The evaluation will consider the performance of the student along the semester, a written document on the topic studied, and a public presentation of the same. The grade will take into account the three abovementioned components, weighting the performance along the semester no more than 50%.: 100.0%
