Teaching Methods

The contents of the unit will be provided through the platform moodle, to facilitate gradual and dynamic learning over time, which will be evaluated by carrying out activities on scheduled dates. The "copy / past" responses based on information from the internet will be unacceptable. The student may access all types of information, but the answers must be customized in order to demonstrate the level of understanding.
Students can post questions or concerns, receiving feedback as soon as possible. The activities will be evaluated and if appropriate suggestions for improvement may be made. The final mark of the unit will be quantitative (scale 0-20 points) and contributes in 20% to the final mark.

Learning Outcomes

The course aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Understand the factors that influence the dispersion of pollutants;
- Know the methodologies for measuring pollutants and demonstrate the importance of "emission factors";
- Recognize the significance of ensuring good air quality;
- Understand the importance of legislation to guarantee a good level of environmental protection.
