This course will use a lecture method with the help of electronic visual media. To facilitate students' participation will be ongoing discussions on topics and case studies. The final evaluation will be based on a written test.

Field of general concepts of statistical analysis. Approach and application in various research studies and epidemiological studies. Analysis of papers.

Introduction to biostatistics; descriptive statistics; some basic probability concepts; probability distribution; some important sampling distributions; estimation; hypothesis testing; analysis of variance; simple linear regression and correlation; multiple regression and correlation; regression analysis-some additional techniques; the chi-square distribution and the analysis of frequencies; nonparametric and distribution-free statistics.
