Recommended Prerequisites

The acquired in the Pre-Graduate Course (MD) or in the Specialty of Stomatology (M). 

Teaching Methods

Teaching methods include addition of theoretical explanations the conduct of clinical work by applying the theoretical and practical knowledge. The electronic media and e-learning will also be used. The evaluation will be theoretical performance of a test (70%) and continuing clinical work performed (30%). 

Learning Outcomes

The aims of this course are the development of knowledge and the understanding to a deeper level, about tooth whitening treatments. Learn to make a correct diagnosis and calculate the prognosis is extremely important. The acquisition of clinics skills performing treatments in patients is another objective to develop.

Syllabus

Teeth whitening: histology of the tooth crown; etiology of chromatic alterations; bleaching history; clinical history; types of therapy; mechanism of action of the products; complications and systemic effects.

Clinical practice: completion of therapy in patients.
