Individual project of scientific research.

Learning Outcomes

The objective of this course is to initiate the students to the practice of scientific research. This is done with an individual research project that is carried out with an established research group. The theme of the project is assigned by the research supervisor, or can be the initiative of the student if it is selected by the Coordination Committee in the framework of the discipline Introduction to Scientific Research, but the student is necessarily supervised by a member of the research units mentioned above. The project will involve the practical implementation of the knowledge acquired in the Masters classes. The student is expected to obtain original results, elaborate and communicate the interpretation of his results, and acquire skill that allow him to plan future projects.

Syllabus

The scientific project is a supervised practice of Medicinal Chemistry, in a research laboratory with national recognition, forone year. At the end of this period, the student must present a written thesis, with original results compiled, analyzed, interpreted and discussed. The thesis work must also be presented orally and to a jury and subject to public defense.
