Learning Outcomes

Provide students with basic skills on proper and safe use of computer systems, so as to collect, process and display information:

- to learn how to gather information in bibliographic databases and sources consulted directly;

- to learn how to organise the collection of data through direct research methods;

- to learn to organise information collected directly and / or through bibliographic databases;

- to learn how to organise data for a qualitative or quantitative analysis;

- to learn to prepare the presentation of data collected from literature research and organisation and / or analysis of data collected directly.

Basic notions of hardware and software

The main types of software:

- word processors

- software design and image processing

- spreadsheets and graphical representation of quantitative data

- programmes to collect and present information online

- basic procedures for organising information and ensuring security.

Procedures for literature research collection:

- organisation of media storage systems and the information collected directly

- brief introduction to procedures for analysing bibliographic information

- brief introduction to the analysis procedures of information collected directly.

Presentation and submission of information:

- communications,

- publications,

- online, etc.
