Recommended Prerequisites
Students must have successfully completed the first year of the second phase of the Integrated Master in Psychology - area of Dynamic Psychopathology and Psychotherapies
Teaching Methods
Teaching is mostly tutorial, based on active methods (observation and participation in activities) in the organization where the internship takes place. The supervision carried out by the FPCE is also tutorial and active, implying the presentation and discussion of cases
Learning Outcomes
Prepare the students for professionalization in the psychologist clinical work, considering mainly the activities related with dynamic psychopathology and psychotherapy in multidisciplinary teams;
- Provide the students formative experiences in a professional context, where the knowledge related with psychology previously acquired can be applied and developed;
- Develop in student a autonomic and initiative attitude for lifelong learning, leading to an attitude of systematic updating

According to the specificity of the stages in Psychology, in this field there are more activities than programmatic contents.
1. Internship preparation seminars
2. Trainee adaptation and integration to the institution
2.1 knowing the team, the institution and the provided services;
2.2 Observation and monitoring the psychological activities in the institution;
3. Internship full application of knowledge and skills in the professional context
3.1 Psychological assessment and psychopathology diagnosis;
3.2 Clinical and expertise reports;
3.3 Psychotherapeutic work;
3.4 Active participation on the clinical multidisciplinary meetings;
3.5 Internship final report elaboration;
4. Training and supervision activities in FPCE-UC
4.1 Diagnostic activities, therapeutic orientation and assessment;
4.2 Clinical reports analysis
4.3 Clinical projects guidance (proposed by the internship student)

The students are evaluated by a jury of three elements, which necessarily includes the academic tutor. The evaluation will have, as a reference, among other elements, the report of the internship delivered by the student at the end of the academic year: 100.0%
