Recommended Prerequisites

Students must have successfully completed the first year of the second phase of the Integrated Master in Psychology - area of Work and Organizational Psychology

Teaching Methods

Teaching is mostly tutorial, based on active methods (observation and participation in activities) in the organization where the internship takes place. The supervision carried out by the FPCE is also tutorial and active, implying the presentation and discussion of cases

Learning Outcomes

The general objective is to integrate theory with practice, aiming at the acquisition and development of professional competences by immersing the student in a professional context. The student must experience different activities in order to: complete, deepen and develop knowledge and competencies of intervention in the organizational domain; provide formative situations that facilitate the acquisition of intervention capacities; promote reflection on different types of intervention in the organizational context. Syllabus

According to the specificity of the stages in Psychology, in this field there are more activities than programmatic contents.

1. Preparation of a internship project defining areas of interest;

2. Integration in the Organization and in work team;

3. Negotiation and implementation of an Action Plan;

4. Participation in weekly meetings for presentation and problem-solving as well as case studies; discussion and reflection on the work performed;

5. Preparation of a progress report (monthly summaries);

6. Execution of tasks and/or development of studies proposed by the host organisation, under the supervision of the supervisor/tutor;

7. Learning and use of methods and techniques of organizational intervention;

8. Organization of training sessions oriented upon contribute to the affirmation of the area in which the trainee is inserted and which are congruent with the choice he made.

Assessment Methods

Assessment
The students are evaluated by a jury of three elements, which necessarily includes the academic tutor. The evaluation will have, as a reference, among other elements, the report of the internship delivered by the student at the end of the academic year: 100.0%
