1 - Familiarity with a set of concepts and theoretical models of structuring debates built around the issues of human rights and access to law and justice.

2 - Discussion of the concept of global justice directing the discussion to the issue of economic and social human rights

3 - Identification of the different barriers to access to law and justice within the national and international plan

Syllabus

This course seeks to provide, systematically, theoretical frameworks and analytical tools which enable research and socio-juridical interpretation of phenomena related to human rights and access to the law and justice. First attention is paid to international protection regimes of global governance and human rights, including economic and social human rights. The role of the International Labour Organization and its notion of decent work are scrutinized as part of a broad reflection, structured around the notion of global justice. Secondly, will be analyzed the paradigmatic changes that occurred in the field of access to law and justice.
