Recommended Prerequisites

It is advisable that the students have already obtained proficiency in the disciplines of: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies in Adults I, Cognitive Models in Clinical Psychology, Behavior Modification and Psychopathology I and II.

Teaching Methods

Given the format of the UC the teaching methodology will be expositive, interactive and practical (especially with examples of clinical cases), in the context of the classroom.

Learning Outcomes

To know sexuality and sexual behavior throughout the life cycle; 2) To characterize female and male sexual disorders (PS), with greater emphasis on those more pertinent in clinical psychology and more prevalent; 3) Framing PSs in the main classification and diagnostic systems, especially the DSM-5; 4) Mastering the cognitive-behavioral con- ditioning for sexual disorders and understanding other psychological con- ditions. Describe the methods of evaluation of the most used PPS; 5) To know and understand the cognitive-behavioral interventions, and other fundamental approaches - Sexual Therapy -, couple therapy, communication training, for PS.

Skills to be developed

It is intended that students: 1) acquire knowledge of the various theoretical models of understanding the PS, and know them to distinguish epistemologically and concetalmente; 2) understand their clinical relevance and implications; 3) acquire basic clinical tools and skills practice.
