Lectures and Group work in classroom.

Evaluation: group work (50%) + individual written test (50%). Evaluation can also be done in a final written exam.

– To think reflexively about the importance of the study of active ageing.

– To recognize the complexity and transdisciplinarity of studying active ageing.

– To understand the research trends in this area.

– To develop a critical view about myths related to the ageing process.

- To understand the basic communication skills for intervention in this area

– To develop a perspective of human development that takes in consideration the average life span

2. Removing barriers to active aging

2.1.Myths, prejudices, implicit and explicit forms of discrimination.

 2.4. The concept of wisdom, and transcendence and morality in adults: implications for intervention.

3. Personal development

3.1. Introduction to the concept of personal development and intervention, potentialities' optimization and activation.
