Recommended Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of psychometrics and psychological assessment methods.

Teaching Methods

Mixed methods approach involving lecuring but mostly cooperative and active (small group) learning procedures (inter-peers discussion of case studies and self-administration and analysis of several assessment techniques, but formal and informal).

Learning Outcomes

Learning about one of the most salient areas of competence of vocactional/career counseling psychologists - the career assessment process. Conceptual outcomes concern the development of a theoretical and critical framework for conducting a systematic career assessment with several distinct types of clients and in different contexts. Practically we aim to develop student's understanding and competencies in using several formal (tests and inventories) and informal (subjetive/qualitative) assessment procedures.

Module Two: Career assessment domains

4. The career counseling intake interview
