Learning Outcomes

General Objectives

The subject aims to provide students with the fundamental notions of commercial companies - in particular private limited companies (Lda) and public limited companies (SA).

Specific Objectives

Distinguish the different company types.

Know the processes of incorporation of companies.

Understand the economic and legal relevance of corporate participation.

Know the corporate governance,in the context of gender equality and sustainability.

Generic competences

Be able to communicate with jurists and to apply company law in company management practice.

Understand the relevance of company law in business decision making

Understand the distinction between licit and illicit business decisions.
