Teaching Methods
he lectures have a traditional format, where the subjects are exposed essentially with the support of Powerpoint slides.
The practical classes are devoted to the analysis and solving of practical problems, of varied types for each subject/chapter. for application of the theoretical knowledge. Some orientations are provided regarding two problems that the student should solve by his own, over the semester, and present the corresponding reports.

Learning Outcomes
Objectives - to deepen, complement and apply the fundamental knowledge of Heat Transfer (1st cycle), focusing on the themes: exchange of radiation through an absorbent medium; performance analysis and dimensioning of fin systems; convection with phase change (boiling and condensation); dimensioning and analysis of heat exchangers; mass transfer phenomena.
Skills to be developed - estimation of heat transfer rate in industrial furnaces; dimensioning and performance analysis of thermal equipment (e.g., heat exchangers, condensers, evaporators/steam boilers; analysis of mass transfer processes.
