Basic knowledge in Anatomy, Physiology, basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Teaching Methods

The assessment of knowledge, skills and competencies is made throughout the semester and by a final evaluation. The final assessment test consists of a written test for 20 marks containing 40 questions test type with five alternative answers, of which only one is correct and / or descriptive answer questions.

Learning Outcomes

This course aims to provide knowledge about the Pathology and Semiology of Traditional Chinese Medicine looking its interpretation according to the scientific knowledge of today. In this course we study the meridians and acupuncture points.

Syllabus

The unit includes the presentation and description of the unit, and the use and safety rules of acupuncture equipment and materials.

In this unit it is the descriptive study of the various types of meridians: principal meridians, curious meridians, tendinomusculares, divergent and connection. This description includes path, key points, puncture technique, application examples, limitations and contraindications, being given the morphophysiological bases and interpreted according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
