Teaching Methods

There will be seminars for the group reflection on the issues developed by the students,

as well as to the tutorial support from the supervisor in order to support the development of the research project, to be presented publicly and appreciated by a scientific panel .

Learning Outcomes

At the end, students should: - Prepare a research project that serves as a qualification for the development of PhD thesis - Present and defend publicly the PhD project before a scientific panel.

Syllabus

Preparation of the research project based on the following steps: Abstract (timeliness and relevance of the topic under study, the main objective, reference to the methodology and expected results); Keywords (focused on the study object); Literature review (based on reference readings in the area of expertise); Delimitation of the object of study (context and definition of the objectives, research questions and/or hypotheses); Detailed description (specification of the project phases, instruments and procedures to be used in the data collection and analysis); Chronogram (Gantt chart with the phases and the definition of time devoted to each of them); References (cf. APA Publication Manual); Attachments (eg., the study presentation, interviews’ scripts and questionnaires).
