Learning Outcomes

The curricular unit aims at:

(1) Enabling students to identify fundamental research trends in the cognitive psychology of judgment and decision making, not forgetting their inner relation with perceptual, affective, mnesic and inferential processes.

(2) Introducing to the many applied prospects of the psychology of judgment/decision (behavioural finance, econometrics, medical and legal decision making, etc.).

(3) Providing knowledge on the core operational paradigms employed..

(4) Fostering the analytical and conceptual skills required for a sound evaluation of the knowledge basis available in the field and the ability to place and empirically solving research problems.
