Project approved by the Scientific Board of the Faculty.

Teaching Methods

The curricular unit will be thoroughly based in tutorial guidance. It is up to each individual student and his/her advisor to organize and develop an implementation plan that also includes face-to-face sessions where the project will be discussed and reflected upon.

Learning Outcomes

The main objective of this curricular unit is the development of an original work on a previously defined scientific topic. This work must be approved by the scientific board as a Project. The progress of the work will be measured biannually, in parallel with the “Seminar I”, “Seminar II” and “Seminar III” curricular units.

Syllabus

i) Presentation of the research problem; ii) methods formulation; iii) definition of appropriate statistical methods to address the specific problem; iv) preparation of the final scientific report (introduction, state of the art, methods, results, discussion, conclusions, bibliography).
