Minimum knowledge recommended are the corresponding to those that were teaching/learned during the two previous semesters.

Teaching Methods

During this curricular unit, the student will be supported by his scientific supervisor. The supervisor must always guide the student till the end of this curricular unit, namely reviewing the Master thesis/Project Research that will be submitted to the MSc jury for final public discussion. This procedure is the final step of this 2nd cycle course. Evaluation standards to be used in this curricular unit are those that are established in the Academic Regulation of Coimbra University.

Learning Outcomes

The main objective of this curricular unit, is the preparation of the MSc thesis / Project Research, allowing the student to obtain the Master degree.
The presentation and public discussion of the MSc thesis / research project must demonstrate that the student brings specialized skills to solve problems in research and innovation; to develop new knowledge and procedures; and to integrate knowledge of the teaching / learning process that took place during the two previous semesters, as well as to other related food safety issues, in general.
