Teaching Methods
1 - The course is organized around lectures and analyses of "paradigmatic cases".
2 - Methods and tools for education provided by FEUP (CICA) - audiovisual technologies for new models of teaching online support (e-learning, SIGARRA, etc..), including:
a) Set of open source software (eg Ubuntu FEUP Edition v2010/2011);
b) a set of applications from various operating systems - Linux, Mac or Windows (eg service APPS);
c) Support services to classes - computer rooms (eg GESROOM).
Learning Outcomes
Provide the students a thorough understanding of the urban morphology and the plural role of urban project and urban design, as well as starting the approach to bioclimatic urban design.

strategies for the city (PMOT's, urban projects, land development, urban infrastructure, etc.)..
3.2. - Major parameters for qualification of urban public space.
3.3 - Qualification criteria of public space, methods of evaluation.
4 - The urban design. The urban project. The dimensions of urban design and the plurality of its performance.
5 - Design Criteria for multimodality and intermodality
6 - The sustainable urban design
6.1 - Conceptual models, development of analytical methods and impressionistic design.
6.2 - Bioclimatic urban design.
7 - Conclusion.
