Knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology and pharmacotherapy.
Teaching Methods
Since this is an optional unit that works for a maximum number of 40 students allows for classes to be solving practical sections of real clinical cases, using a system of monitoring pharmacotherapy. They discuss the various therapeutic options taking into account not only the clinical condition of the patient but also the clinical results obtained.

Learning Outcomes
"The first responsibility of the pharmacist is to the health and the patient's well-being"- the involvement of the pharmacist in the evaluation of clinical results produced by drugs can contribute to the reduction of morbidity and mortality associated with them, assisting patients to obtain the maximum benefit from your medication. The pharmacist must have general and specific knowledge enabling them to watch the patient both in yield and following the pharmacotherapy, interacting with him and other health professionals with the ultimate goal of improving the patient's quality of life. This course covers the aspects highlighted and allows the student to acquire skills related to the approach to the patient, identifying the clinical situation, the pharmacotherapeutic evaluation, the establishment of monitoring criteria for evaluation of treatment outcomes and to information and communication to the patient and other health professionals.
