Learning Outcomes

Main goals

 To provide students with solid theoretical knowledge that enable them to:

 - understand and analyze the impact recent societal changes have on the world of work, their representations, and values

- understanding, evaluate and intervening in the issues of diversity and inclusion in the work, taking into account the challenges for the promotion of equality, and well-being they arises in European current societies

 

Skills to develop:

 - To know and to be able to discuss the psychological, organizational and social implications of the new forms of work and their representations

 - To know the importance of social justice in work and to be able to propose and evaluate interventions on this domain

 - To be able to consider and analyze the importance of values and social representations of work in intervention proposals

 - To be able to discuss and to propose interventions in the issues of diversity, inequality and inclusion in the workplace.

1. Recent changes in work and in their representations: meanings of work; changes in social representations of work and their anchoring

2. Social justice in work: theoretical foundations about distributive justice and procedural justice; their organizational implications

 4. Social values and work values. Continuity, changes and diversity in the evolution of data from European Social Survey

 5. Diversity, inequalities and inclusion in work in European current societies
