Teaching Methods

Evaluation and approval of the doctoral research project by the S.Council

Tutorial monitoring of the PhD students throughout the whole PhD thesis preparation process a process which may encompass the following training components:

Training periods in Univ.and International and National Research Centres

Participation in seminars and other training courses allowing the acquisition of knowledgde in thematic and instrumental areas of the PhD dissertation

Preparation of communications in national and international scient.meetings

Preparation of scientific articles

Collaboration in research project.

Learning Outcomes

The main goal of the PhD thesis supervision is to provide the students with necessary skills to perform the autonomous conduction of an original and innovative research project of a disciplinary, interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary nature.

Specific skills:

- Autonomous management of the research project, mastering of the methodology and techniques, mastering of scientific writing and the procedures associated with the dissemination of scientific articles with peer review;

- communication skills with the scientific community and with society in general, using several supports;

- skills in mastering team work and in the building of research networks.

The syllabus associated to the elaboration of the PhD dissertation are related with the advanced knowledge and the specific and cross-disciplinary competences which the PhD students should be progressively acquiring in the domains areas necessary to the successful completion of the PhD dissertation.
