Recommended Prerequisites

Knowledge in Anatomy, Physiology, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Teaching Methods

This course has 10 ECTS and corresponds to the presentation and discussion of a report of the training activities with 10 clinical histories with the acupuncture treatment and the patient follow-up.

The contact hours, about 10 hours, are those that was foresee for discussion and supervision of its preparation by the teacher who is supervising. The delivery of the report is by the end of week number 38.

The structure of the report is as follows:

 I: Introduction

 II: Short description of the course:

a) Basic Training (1st and 2nd semesters)

b) Training stage (3rd and 4th semester, Tutored Stage I and II)

 III: Description of the consultation

 IV: Description of 10 clinical histories.

The assessment of this unit is the report and its oral discussion and is worth 20 marks.

Learning Outcomes

This course, with 10 ECTS, aims the presentation, discussion of a report of the training activities that must contain 10 clinical histories which should include the Acupuncture treatments and respective evaluation of the patients, made by the students.
