Learning Outcomes
The doctoral student develops a research for the production and presentation of a thesis that is framed within any of the major topics in Film Studies and that corresponds to a plurality of possible research interests: critical approaches (film analysis, types of film, film theories, film culture and history, gender studies, cultural identities), American cinema (history industry, society, film genre, authorship, star system), national cinemas (Anglophone, South American, European, Asian, African cinemas).
The work is personal, and doctoral students should be able to show the ability for work, innovation, autonomy and critical thinking, realizing thus an unpublished work that constitutes a contribution to the academic areas involved.
