Patenting of drugs, and patenting of processes for obtaining and using them

Other mechanisms and industrial property rights entailed in the economic exploitation of drugs: the supplementary protection certificate of medicinal products for human use, the exclusive marketing rights and the system of protection of test data.

Pharmaceutical patents and the mechanisms for dispute resolution.

The Portuguese legal system of necessary arbitration concerning disputes between generic drug companies and reference drug companies.

European competition law and the economic exploitation of drugs as object of patent rights or supplementary protection certificates.
