Teaching Methods
Software Development Studio spans the entire MSE program (this is the third course of a set of four), starting the day that students enter the program and concluding with graduation. It accounts for 40% of total student academic load, acting as a laboratory where students apply knowledge gained from core and elective courses in realistic, yet mentored, environments. Professors are assigned to mentor each Studio project, providing team as well as individual guidance.
Learning Outcomes
After completing this course, students will: understand the software coding phase, namely aspects related to effort estimation and measurement and quality assurance; understand the different stages project management and of team formation: leadership styles, decision making approaches, conflict resolution techniques, risk management, etc.

The teams have bisemestrial presentations, including a poster presentation, before an audience of CMU and UC, where they are placed on various questions related to the course of the project.: 100.0%
