Assessment: This is conducted through a written test that focuses on the subjects taught, the focus on distributed literature. Oral avalição UC is performed through a presentation to the jury assessment and students.
This course has the following jury composition: Program Director, tutor, and one of the coordinators of taught modules; The rating is given in A, B, C, D and F = Very Good, Good, Average, Enough and failed.
Learning Outcomes
The Theory Seminar and Methods in Landscape Architecture (stmap) consists of modules for the key topics of Landscape Architecture and Urban Ecology and a module of research methods that introduces participants to techniques and research processes in this area.
At UC stmap has as its primary goal the training of the ability to present an idea on a topic of matter, through the delivery of a structured communication for publication that is also presented as oral communication, based on the materials presented during the semester, and applying the methodology of 6 Step method (Steinitz) in structuring the final outputs The ultimate goal of this seminar is to produce, by the participants, a written and detailed summary of their future dissertation.

The stmap is offered by organized modules in 6 themes that structure the academic and scientific professional field of Landscape Architecture and Urban Ecology:

3. Landscape Ecology
4. Gestao landscape
5. Design of Landscape Architecture
6. Landscape Legislation and policies.
A seventh module provides a deepening in research methods in Landscape Architecture and account for this in collaboration with domestic and foreign visiting professors.
