Recommended Prerequisites

All knowledge acquired in the curricular units of the 1st year of this cycle of studies.

Teaching Methods

The work done by the trainee at the host institution is monitored daily by the local supervisor and weekly by the Faculty supervisor. All activities are pre-planned and executed based on general, specific and operational objectives, being also scheduled and thought in terms of resources involved and assessment. Each training project must be approved at the end of the first two months by the two supervisors of the trainee. The scientific supervisor will visit at least twice the trainee’s internship place.

Learning Outcomes

The development of internship activities and the preparation of the report aim the acquisition of basic general skills, necessary for the development of the job characteristics of a specialist in adult education and training and community intervention.

Within the general skills to develop, we highlight the following:

a)Instrumental (cognitive, methodological, technological), related to work organization;

b)Communication with different interveners and contexts covered by adult education and training and community intervention, and society in general;

c)Systemic, referring to abilities and skills related to the system as a whole and are associated with understanding, sensitivity and knowledge that allow the understanding of the functioning of parts together and as part of a whole.
