Recommended Prerequisites

This course requires the prior acquisition of basic knowledge in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

Teaching Methods

Lectures - the masterful type or presentation of clinical cases , supported by presentation slides and small interactive movies
Theoretical Practical - predominantly interactive and presentation of clinical cases , complemented by targeted investigation
Practical classes - with direct support two assistants in monitoring the practical work and covering :
1. Fundamental Concepts in Biochemistry
2. Research Methods major constituent of the cell
3. Application of biochemistry technology to Laboratory tests used in clinical Weekly availability for targeted study.

Learning Outcomes

1. Learn the biochemical mechanisms responsible for the homeostasis of the cell and the organism and its alteration in disease;
2. Know the biochemical processes responsible for the development , communication and control of cellular activity ;
3. Apply the knowledge acquired in solving clinical nature of problems , arousing their curiosity for biomedical research.
