Recommended Prerequisites

Students of Head and Neck Anatomy unit should have previous knowledge of the Human Anatomy of the first semester, in order to fully understand the unit learning program.

Learning Outcomes

The main purpose of Head and Neck Anatomy unit is to provide the skills for a full comprehension of the Head and Neck morphology and its international nomenclature (classical latin). By the end of the teaching program, the student should be able to identify, situate and fully understand the function of each structure.

The Head and Neck Anatomy unit emphasises the learning process linked to the medical practice. Thus, the teaching process focus on clinical, imagiological and surgical skills.
